Toni Kroos divulges details of Cristiano Ronaldo chat following Portugal's Germany defeat

Ronaldo was seen covering his mouth during an extended chat with Real Madrid midfielder Kroos amid speculation the Juventus star could return to the Bernabeu within the transfer window

Toni Kroos has revealed what he and Cristiano Ronaldo talked about as they were seen chatting following Germany's Euro 2020 convert Portugal.

Kroos and his former team-mate were seen enjoying an honest old chinwag after Germany beat the reigning champions 4-2 to blow the tournament's 'Group of Death' wide open.

Their chat fuelled speculation of a return to Real Madrid for Ronaldo, who has been linked with a move faraway from Juventus this summer.

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have also been touted as potential destinations for the 36-year-old, while Barcelona president Joan Laporta is claimed to be keen on uniting him with Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo was seen covering his mouth while lecture Kroos after Saturday's game in Munich.

But the Los Blancos midfielder said they were just having a catch-up having not seen one another since Ronaldo left the Bernabeu in 2018.

"I played with Ronaldo for four seasons," said the Germany international on the on the Einfach mal Luppen podcast he shares together with his brother Felix.

"And i'm not exaggerating once I say that I had the best successes with him and because of him.

"We were neighbours within the room throughout that period and that i was glad to ascertain him.

"We haven't seen one another for an extended time, [Real] haven't played against Juventus.

"We talked briefly about the match and therefore the upcoming matches."
